Schwab Town Hall Webcast
50Talk To Chuck: Bumpy Road Ahead
Recently, in Chicago, Charles Schwab sponsored an investment Town Hall and Webcast. Bill Griffeth, anchor of CNBC's "Power Lunch" hosted the event. Liz Ann Sonders and Bryan Olson of Charles Schwab were the featured panelists during the presentation. The topics covered a general conversation about the state of the economy, quantitative easing ( the Federal Reserve's buying of Treasury bonds or printing money in its attempt to loosen up spending or induce inflation), real estate, taxes, gold, commodities, stocks, bonds, etc. There was no discussion about specific stocks or bonds. The conversation focused more on what the panel thought the general trend of the economy and markets would be for the forseeable future. It was an enlightening discussion by people whose business it is to try to determine the direction of markets and the overall economy. There is no flagrant attempt to get the viewer to open an account with Charles Schwab. One will see the "Charles Schwab" logo throughout the presentation but, obviously, they sponsored the program. If you're interested in the thoughts of people skilled in the markets, then it might pay you to view and listen to the Webcast. Go to http://www.visualwebcaster.com/Charles_Schwab/72523/archive.asp to view the Webcast. Just so you'll know, I receive no compensation of any kind from Charles Schwab or anybody else involved in this Webcast. Just thought you might benefit.
